CII LM1 · London Market insurance essentials

Practice questions built for the LM1 exam — chapter by chapter

LM1-style multiple choice questions across the full syllabus and study text. Scenario-based questions, instant feedback, and progress tracking — so you can revise the way the exam actually tests you.

Why I built this

When I prepared for the CII London Market insurance essentials (LM1) exam, I found the official study text invaluable — but very little in the way of extra practice questions online. Past papers are limited, and generic insurance quizzes rarely match LM1’s style or the London Market syllabus.

I wanted scenario questions that felt like the real exam: four plausible options, principles applied to commercial situations, and coverage across every chapter — not just the headline definitions.

So I built LM1 Past Papers for anyone else on the same journey. It’s free to use, aligned to the LM1 syllabus and study-text chapters, and designed to complement your CII materials — not replace them.

What other LM1 candidates say

Early feedback from people using the site to prepare for their exam.

“I struggled to find anything beyond the CII study text. Being able to drill Chapter 2 and the full exam format in one place has made revision much less stressful.”
James T. LM1 candidate, Lloyd's broker
“The scenario questions feel closer to the real paper than generic insurance quizzes I tried elsewhere. I use the progress screen to see which chapters I keep getting wrong.”
Priya S. LM1 candidate, company market
“As someone new to the London Market, the chapter-by-chapter tests helped me learn the syllabus structure. The explanations after each answer are what make it useful — not just a score.”
